Griffey is a free agent this season. I amazingly have not franchise tagged him yet because I was able to re-sign him last time for a reasonable amount. I want to stress there is zero chance he becomes a free agent. I will franchise tag him if I cannot re-sign him. However, now is the perfect time to trade him if I am going to.
My team is old. I lost a ton of stuff to free agency two seasons ago and have never recovered. Griffey is wasting his career here. So, I am willing to do right by him and get him to a contender if you can do right by me and load up my farm system. ;D
Also willing to deal anyone else over 30. Which isn't a lot but there is Omar Vizquel, Billy Wagner, Paul Lo Duca and a few others.
