I also asked ChatGPT to pick the best 'value' pick of each draft of the decade. The rules were simple.

- The pick had to be 2nd round or later.
- Start at 1 and count up on picks (i.e. round 2, pick 1 gets a 1 value for pick position and round 3, pick 1 would get a 33 value for pick position) and that makes up half of the equation.
- The other half is made up by stats and I had it use 'average production' at the position as the baseline. Every percentage above average was worth 5 points, every percentage below was worth -5 pts at the core stats.
- It then added all the points together and assessed the draft and picked the player that was the most 'above average' player at the 'latest drafted position.'

This is not a scientific analysis but is about as fair as it can be done without a ton of time. Remember, this is just fun. :)

Best Value Pick in Each NFL Draft:
1989: Brian Jordan, FS, 2nd round Pick 18 Vikings
1990: Chris Singleton, LB, 3rd round Pick 13 Colts
1991: Henry Jones, FS, 2nd round pick 18, Redskins
1992: Tommy Maddox, QB, 2nd round pick 25, Browns
1993: Thomas Smith, FS, 3rd round pick 13, Packers
1994: Charles Johnson, WR, 2nd round pick 29, 49ers
1995: Willie Jackson, WR, 3rd round pick 31, Oilers
1996: Carlos Emmons, LB, 2nd round pick 18, Giants
1997: Brad Badger, OG, 2nd round pick 32, Oilers
