1995 Free Agency Compensation

Gents,

I have decided to do a manual FA compensation round. I will create a round between the 1st and 2nd rounds of the AMA draft. No one will lose any picks to sign anyone. I will just create an extra round and assign teams to picks randomly. I limited the round to 20 picks and I based this on my OWN opinion only. This is the order of the supplemental round:

5. Giants (Royce Clayton)
6. Astros (Ben McDonald)
7. Royals (Jim Abbott)
8. Cubs (Rafael Palmeiro)
9. Braves (Jeff Blauser)
10. Oakland (Cal Eldred)
11. Detroit (Travis Fryman)
12. Pirates (Orlando Merced)
13. Cubs (Jamie Moyer)
14. Giants (Matt Williams)
15. Indians (Bobby Bonilla)
16. Royals (Jeff Conine)
17. Giants (Tom Goodwin)
18. Dodgers (Ramon Martinez)
19. Cardinals (Jeff Fassero)
20. Angels (Lee Stevens)


* To get this pick the team must actually lose the player in free agency. If say, the Dodgers re-sign Ramon Martinez out of free agency I just remove that pick from the round. So the final draft order for this round will be released after they are re-signed.

As a result, this compensation round will always be a year behind. Meaning, this round will be placed into the 1996 MLB AMA draft.

I am going to try to go back to last years FA as best as I can and create a list for this season. That will take me a little time.
