The Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Colorado Rockies, 13-4, at Coors Field. Los Angeles second baseman Jeff Kent was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Los Angeles goes to 46-36. The win puts them 6 games up in their division.

Cliff Floyd had a big bases-clearing double for the Dodgers in the top of the second inning. With Los Angeles leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Zach Day and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dodgers ahead, 6-2.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Floyd.
