Chicago Beats Pittsburgh, 6-2
The rain came, as predicted, but the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates were able to complete their ballgame.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Lance Berkman, the Chicago Cubs stopped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-2. Chicago reliever Gil Meche snagged the win, upping his record to 3-0. Omar Daal shouldered the loss.

With Chicago leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Berkman hit a fastball from Omar Daal for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 4-0.

"I believe in our guys," said Chicago skipper Adam Spencer. "I like the energy they're playing with."

Chicago is clipping along at 15-3.
