Ordonez Misses Time with Day-to-Day Injury Monday, April 19th , 2004 Cleveland's star center fielder Magglio Ordonez injured himself in a game against the Detroit Tigers, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as back tightness and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Ordonez with a smile as he talked to reporters. This season, Ordonez has hit 1 home run and posted a .208 batting average. |
