Florida Wins 1B Palmeiro Sweepstakes Monday, December 27th , 2004 Rafael Palmeiro might be in the twilight of his career, but he is not going to leave the stage before the final act. Today the 40-year-old scribbled his signature on a $7,500,000-a-year deal with the Marlins.
