NFL Draft Thread

- You can begin when you like. As soon as the season ends the 1st pick is on the clock. They will remain on the clock until the draft officially begins. That date will be set after the playoffs.

- I understand you cannot see their 'ratings' currently. However I have included the pro-football reference page for guidance. I also will answer questions directly if you ask me a rating of a player. I have to use commish mode.

- Keep in mind this is a historical draft so there are no 'hidden gems.' We know what these players did and they will be rated accordingly. How many draft picks you get to personally make and how many you have to send me a list for is up to you as we can do as many or as few picks as you'd like on the forums. Whatever we don't complete by the date I set for the draft will be done offline via lists.

SanDiego

Can I get the overall rating on the following players:
Troy Aikman
Barry Sanders
Derrick Thomas
Deion Sanders
Steve Atwater

Looks like the only Hall guys in the draft so the only ones I am considering for the first pick. Leaning Sanders or Aikman. My passing offense was atrocious this year. 3 passing TD's all season long and less than 1800 yards total.

I rate the players based on how they came into the league. Some are at or near their cap. Others have to develop.

Aikman is an 81 with growth potential
Barry Sanders is 95 and almost capped
Deion Sanders is 100 and capped
Derrick Thomas is 90 and has some growth left
Steve Atwater is 95 and almost capped

All but Aikman from this list came in and owned from the start. So, only Aikman has a lot of room to grow. Thomas won DPOY, Sanders won OPOY, Atwater finished 2nd in DPOY, all made pro bowls.

Aikman didn;t make his first pro bowl until 1991. The other 4 were pro bowl from season 1. That is the justification for the ratings if anyone is wondering.

At 81, Aikman is the 11th highest rated QB already. He has room to grow into the top 5-8.

SanDiego

I've really thought about this. There are no other good quarterbacks in this draft or the next one. It will be two more seasons before Favre comes in. If my team still sucks next year I can draft Emmitt but there is no help at QB.

As much as it pains me to not draft one of the Sanders boys, San Diego must take Troy Aikman.

GREEN BAY ECSTATICLY SELECTS BARRY SANDERS! SORRY FOR SCREAMING! BARRY! BARRY! BARRY!

BQuickATL

Well fuck. Fucking losers deciding to win games at the end of the season cost me the greatest running back of all time.

Deion Sanders it is then.

GoBoys

Damn I wanted Aikman.

Derrick Thomas

Gambit

Assuming my trade goes through the 49ers select Steve Atwater SS.

Atwater and Lott in the same secondary dudes. RIP.

TampaJeff

How do you all even know who is good?

TampaJeff

Jason Howard

Here you go. All players over 80 and then Tony Martin and Wesley Walls who are under 80 that you asked about.

Steve Wisnewski - 97
Carnell Lake - 93
Daryl Johnston - 88

Donnell Woodford - 83
Andre Rison - 82
David Williams - 81
Myron Guyton - 80
Doug Widell - 80
Trace Armstrong - 80
