Angels Walk It Off for 81st Win of Season
|
Juan Guzman never let Baltimore get something going. The Anaheim right-hander commanded his sinker in pitching the Angels to a 3-0 win. Anaheim now has a record of 81-69 with the win.
The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Cameron in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Buddy Carlyle to win the game for Anaheim. The home crowd went nuts.
Anaheim manager Tom Thompson commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
