Perez was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Mets. Guillermo Mota recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 16 for 18. The last-place Mets own a record of 37-88.

Jeffrey Hammonds had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for New York. With the bases loaded and the Mets leading 6-5, he hit a sacrifice fly.

Perez told a New York Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
