Braves Earn Win with Late Rally
The Atlanta Braves earned a win at Turner Field, stopping the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-2. Starting pitcher John Smoltz played a big role in his team's success. Atlanta reliever LaTroy Hawkins picked up the win, while Omar Daal took the loss for Arizona. After today's action, Atlanta sits at 63-74, while Arizona falls to 45-91.

Mark Loretta was the walk-off hero for Atlanta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Braves second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We had a hellacious effort," said Braves manager Brandon Quick. "We hung in there and hung in there."
