The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

Rico Brogna, who finished 2nd in the AL in RBI with 165 in 1996, led Chicago to a triumph over Seattle. The final score was 7-4. The left fielder went 3 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 2 RBI. Chicago reliever Jimmy Jones picked up the win. Billy Wagner, who is tied for 7th in the AL in saves with 22, took the loss for Seattle.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Chicago. That's when Gregg Jefferies hit a 3-run home run off 1994 Rookie of the Year Award winner Billy Wagner to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Jefferies said.

Chicago, with the win, is 45-89.
